Maha’s bridal Shower was da bomb! It worked out so well; she was truly surprised (cried a little, but that’s Maha & Mommy). The party started at noon; first guests showed up at 12:40pm. Maha came around 1:45pm which was perfect since everyone had already come. The party theme was Indian style. We had Indian decoration, a Henna tattoo artist, Indian favors, and Indian/Arabic music. And to top it off, we had a Sari for Maha to wear as the bride. Pretty much everything was Indian except the food which was sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, dips, chips, and of course the cake and drinks.
Tara, Maha’s best friend, was in charge of keeping Maha away from the house till everything was setup. She kept in touch via text and coordinated really well in bringing Maha on time for the surprise. The good thing is that Maha did not expect a thing even though we all had doubts that she figured it out.
After the surprise, came the food while the Henna tattoo artist was working on some of guests. When the Henna was all done, we started playing games. All 7 games were so much fun to play and we had a blast. Many guests went home with nice hefty prizes. Finally it was cake time which was made up of little cupcakes; so delicious and easy to serve… People started to leave by then. We opened presents and played another game. Later we decided to dance dance dance….Music was blasting and all of us were huddled around in a circle dancing away...
I want to give a shout out and many thanks for all of those who really worked hard on this and made it a memorable day for Maha baby (Mommy & Daddy, Tara, May, Reham and Mahmoud, Miriam, and my special hubby: Osama). Thanks for all your help everyone.
