Our Vacation

We made it back from our 3 weeks vacation. Egypt was great. We had a great time. The best part about it was visiting family & getting in touch with people we have not seen for over 10 years. Of course We visited the pyramids and rode camels & horses. We spend half a day in Germany's airport on the way to Egypt and it was kinda of fun. When we arrived to Egypt, we went straight to El Mansoura to stay with Sarah's grandparents. It took us about a week to get over the jet lag and that's when it was time to go to Cairo.

In Cairo, we stayed with my grandma (Sarah's great grandma; Bata) and visited my cousins(mom's side). It was awesome to see them and how much they grew and to meet their husbands and get to bond with them.

Bebo(my cousin) and Mohamed(her husband) took us to this cool restaurant called Plant Africa. It has all different kind of animated animals all around the 3 levels of the restaurant. Sarah had face painting and balloons after her dinner.

Marwa(my cousin) and Mohamed(her husband) took us to Pharaohs Village right on the Nile where we got to see how ancient Egyptian lived their life and then off to dinner and a night Nile cruise.

Uncle Saad and tant Manal(my Aunt and Uncle)took us to this cute restaurant right on the Nile called Casino; great food, music, and great company. Spending time with them was great.

After visiting that part of the family, we were off to Sharm El Shikh, located right on the red sea. Sarah got really sick on the plan and half of the time we were there and we stayed in the hotel room most of the time. Sharm was hot. The days we were out, we went swimming, took a glass boat ride to explore the coral reef & the awesome looking fish, and attended multiple showes hosted by the hotel.

After our return to Cairo, we spent sometime with doctors and caring for Sarah. We also visited more family. We visited my cousins on my dad's side. Mashallah the family grew and more additions were introduced to us. We also went shopping and got to experience hassling with street vendors and taxi cabs. I saw my cousin, Amr, and his wife, Soha, and their kids. They took us on a Nile Cruise for lunch and a great show where Sarah bonded with all of their 4 adorable children (Farah, Sara, Fatima, and Mariam). Amr took us to visit the rest of my family in Maddi city where everyone meet at my Aunt's house (Tant Nagwa). It was great seeing all of them again after such a long time. We all had a great time.

We returned to El Mansoura to visit more of Osama's family and friends and spend time with his parents before our departure. Of course we did more shopping. We had a full busy 3 weeks, but time flew by so fast. However, it was nice to be home again. This trip was great and will never be forgotten. All of the 300 pictures will be a constant reminder to us of this great trip to Egypt.

Yes, we are back...
It is nice to be back!! We had a great time there and I even gained 5 pounds to prove it :)

The Jetlag wasn't that bad here; it was worse in Cairo cause we were so tired from the 25 hour trip and arrived in the morning there and couldn't take a nap.
